What is communication?

Computer communications describes a process in which two or more computers or devices transfer data, instructions and information. The process shall go thru 3 basic levels which is the sending device, communications channel and lastly the receiving device.

What is Network?

Network is a collection of computers and devices connected together via communications devices and transmission media.

Advantages of network?

A network would come in very handy as it will help to facilitate communications, sharing hardware, sharing data and information, sharing software and to transfer funds.

 

Types of Network?

There is basically three types of network which is LAN, MAN and WAN. Local area network (LAN) is a network that connects computers and devices in a limited area. Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) is a network which connect LAN in a metropolitan area. Wide area network (WAN) is a network that covers a large scale of place which will connect all the MAN.

What is network architecture?

Network architecture refers to the layout of the network, consisting of the hardware, software, connectivity, communication protocols and mode of transmission, such as wired or wireless. Know about the types of network classified according to the areas covered such as LAN, MAN and WAN. Learn about the network topologies categorized according to the layout of equipments and computers such as star, loop, bus, or mesh topologies. There are many communication protocols used in the networking technology. It is important to know about the network architecture as networks play a very important role in today’s world.

 

What is network communication standards/protocol?

To avoid chaos in computer communications, rules must be established for the exchange of data from one site to another. These rules are known as line protocol. Communications software packages control the speed and mode of communications between computer systems. Many different standard network protocols exist to perform addressing, routing, and packetizing. All provide formal definitions for how addressing and routing is to be executed, and specify packet structures to transfer this information between computers. OSI, TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, and X.25 are commonly used routing protocols.

 

Telecommunication network?

telecommunications network is a collection of terminals, links and nodes which connect to enable telecommunication between users of the terminals. Each terminal in the network have a unique address so messages or connections can be routed to the correct recipients. The collection of addresses in the network is called the address space.The links connect the nodes together and are themselves built upon an underlying transmission network which physically pushes the message across the link, using circuit switched, message switched or packet switched routing.

–          ISDN line

–          DSL

–          FTTP

What is communication devices?

A communications devices is any type of hardware capable of transmitting data, instructions, and information between a sending device and receiving device.

 

Communication channel?

The amount of data that can travel over a communications channel sometimes is called the bandwidth. Latency is the time it takes a signal to travel from one location to another on a network. Transmission media carries one or more signals, while  Broadband media can transmit multiple signals simultaneously at a time.

 

Transmission media?

There is basically two types of transmission media which is the physical and wireless. Example of physical transmission media is fibre optic cable. Example for wireless TM is cellular radio, microwaves and etc.

 

Latest technology?

Latest technology for wired network is fibre optic. Fibre optic is the new technology which used optical fibre as the inner filling of a cable. With this it’ll allow data and information to be transfer by the speed of light when basically they moved the data using light refraction technology.
